JayDay — a free tutor for children who just moved to a new country
"We just moved to a new country." That sentence is where JayDay starts. JayDay is a caring at-home tutor for children aged 6 to 12 who are new to Canada or the USA, helping them learn English at the same time as the maths, language and science of their new school curriculum.
A session takes about 30 minutes a day, broken into small wins. The guide explains everything in the child's own home language — 13 languages so far — while the English being learned stays in English. The tutor adapts to what each child finds hard.
JayDay is 100% free and always will be — a charity give-back for newcomer families, with no ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. It is privacy-first: your child's learning data stays on this device, children never create accounts, and nothing is ever sold.
